What is a gambling problem?
A gambling problem is gambling that is causing harm to your money, relationships, work or health, and continuing regardless. The amount staked is not the test; the consequences are.
It is a recognised health condition, it is common, and it is treatable.
What is actually assessed
Clinicians look for a pattern over roughly a year: needing larger stakes for the same effect, restlessness when trying to cut down, repeated failed attempts to stop, preoccupation, chasing losses, lying about it, and money problems that others are covering.
Several of those at once is the picture. Any one of them on its own is worth paying attention to rather than diagnosing yourself from a web page.
It is not about the amount
Somebody losing forty dollars a week they cannot spare is in more difficulty than somebody losing four hundred they can. Harm is relative to the life it lands in.
It is also not about willpower or intelligence. The products are engineered by people who are very good at their jobs, and phones removed the last of the friction that used to slow everything down.
