What are free spins in casinos?
Free spins are spins on a specific title, at a stake the operator sets, that cost you nothing. Nearly always C$0.10 or C$0.20 a spin.
So fifty free spins is about ten dollars of stake, not fifty dollars of anything. That is the first number to get straight.
The four terms
Stake per spin, which sets the value. Which games, usually one or two titles the operator has a deal on. Wagering on winnings. Expiry, often 24 to 72 hours, sometimes drip-fed at a set number per day.
The drip pattern is worth spotting: fifty spins delivered ten a day for five days is a five-day return visit, which is what the operator is buying.
Working out the value
Spins multiplied by stake gives gross value. Expected return at 96% shaves four percent. Then wagering on winnings takes its cut.
