The arithmetic

What is high roller gambling?

A high roller is somebody staking far above the room's average, and operators build separate service around them: higher limits, faster withdrawals, a named contact.

None of that changes the house edge. It changes how comfortable it is to keep paying it.

What the treatment consists of

Raised deposit and withdrawal ceilings, priority in the payout queue, private tables, a host who messages you, and bonuses shaped to your play rather than to the general offer.

The withdrawal speed one is the only item on that list with genuine value, and it is worth noticing that it exists at all: a queue that can move faster is a queue whose length is a policy decision.

The turnover behind the perks

Comps are usually funded at a small fraction of theoretical loss. If a programme returns 0.3% of turnover as rewards on a game with a 4% edge, you are getting back seven cents of every dollar the game expects to take.

That is a discount on a cost, not an income. Any programme that makes the reward feel like earnings has done its job on you rather than for you.

Limits and the honest question

Ceilings vary hugely across the operators we track, and some rooms restrict stakes once an account is consistently winning. We record each operator's stated limits policy on its teardown as a field, without a verdict attached.

The question worth asking is whether the stakes are a decision or a drift. If the level went up because the previous level stopped feeling like anything, that is the pattern the break page is written for.
