Bonuses and offers
What is a casino loyalty program?
A loyalty programme awards points for money staked and converts them into bonus credit, spins or perks, usually with tier levels on top.
Convert the points to a cash rate and most schemes land between 0.1% and 0.5% of turnover. That is a small discount on the house edge, not a source of income.
Converting points to cents
Find two numbers in the terms: points per dollar staked, and points needed for a dollar of credit. Divide one by the other.
Ten points per dollar and a thousand points for C$1 of credit is a rate of 0.1%. On a game with a 4% edge you are getting two and a half cents back of every dollar the game expects to take from you.
Tiers and what they cost to hold
Higher tiers pay better rates, which sounds good until you calculate the turnover required to reach one. A tier that needs C$20,000 staked in a quarter is asking for C$800 of expected loss to buy a better discount on future losses.
Tier decay is the other half. Most schemes reset if you go quiet, which is the mechanism converting a reward into a schedule.
Where the value actually is
Not in the points. In the operational perks: faster withdrawal processing, higher limits, an actual human in support.
Withdrawal speed is the one worth having, and the fact that it can be granted as a perk tells you something useful about how the queue works for everybody else. Our cashout board tracks the standard version of that queue rail by rail.
